Expanding a Towson Home with Style and Function

When a family on Alabama Rd in Towson, Maryland, needed more space and better flow, they turned to RMC Builders to make it happen. The result is a two-story addition with smart design choices, modern finishes, and seamless integration into the original structure.

The new addition included an unfinished basement, expanded kitchen, and full bath, all built on strong poured concrete footings and framed to match the home's existing roofline. From Hardie cement board siding to vinyl windows and faux slate roofing, the exterior blends durability with charm.

Inside, the kitchen became the heart of the home. Our team installed quartz countertops, matte black fixtures, and high-quality cabinets. A clean backsplash, under-mount stainless sink, and pendant lights above the island complete the warm, functional layout.

Upstairs, a new bathroom features custom tile, a built-in niche, and a frameless shower glass. Matte black hardware ties the space together with a timeless touch.

All new electrical, HVAC, and plumbing were installed to meet current code—along with recessed lighting, smoke/CO2 alarms, and updated switches. Every detail reflects our commitment to craftsmanship and transparency.

We finished with fresh trim, solid-core doors, and owner-provided LVP flooring throughout the new spaces. The unfinished basement offers future flexibility.

We believe everyone deserves a comfortable home they can be proud of.
